Delhi
Delhi (28° 38' N, 77° 10' E), capital city of the Federal Republic of India. Delhi is one of the most historic capitals in the world and two of its monuments- the Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb - have been declared World Heritage Sites. The city has testimony of every period of history in its splendid architecture. New Delhi would easily be the only conference venue in the world that has a history stretching back 3,000 years - and yet, is a modern metropolis accessible through international airlines from all over the world.
New Delhi has in fact emerged as a significant and often visited venue for International Conferences and Conventions, with the complete infrastructure and amenities in one place, to hosting global meetings for as many as 10,000 delegates. |
